It is about six kilns which had been continuing from Kamakura period. They are Seto, Tokoname, Echizen, Shigaraki, Tanba, Bizen.It was named by Mr. Fujio Koyama a ceramic expert in 1948, and Shigaraki kiln is said to be the oldest of the six kilns. The simple feeling with clay taste has been loved by many people for long years.
